[Remote] Financial Management (FM) Palantir Data Analyst (Analyst and Manager Levels), Department of War (DoW), Secret Clearance

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. BizFirst LLC is recruiting a Financial Management Palantir Data Analyst to support Department of War financial management surge projects. The role designs and enhances Palantir Foundry and Vantage solutions, develops data pipelines and applications, processes financial data, and supports reporting, transparency, reconciliation, and data-driven decision-making; Manager-level employees also supervise and mentor project teams.


Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and enhance modern solutions in the Vantage platform, leveraging Palantir Foundry, that strengthen financial management operations and improve financial reporting and data transparency
  • Build and support data solutions using Palantir Foundry, including pipelines, transforms, datasets, and data lineage
  • Build and enhance applications in Palantir Workshop that enable data-driven decision-making
  • Develop Python, SQL, PySpark, and Spark-based data processing
  • Work with relational and analytical data stores (e.g., Databricks, Oracle, Postgres, SQL Server), applying sound data modeling principles
  • Support or integrate solutions with DoD Advana/Vantage as projects require
  • Handle federal financial data, including budget, execution, and accounting data, applying data controls and supporting reconciliation needs
  • Troubleshoot data solutions and translate complex technical concepts for both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Managers: supervise and mentor project team members, lead multidisciplinary teams, influence senior stakeholders, and foster collaboration, accountability, and professional development across the program

Skills

  • Active and maintained Secret Federal or DoW security clearance
  • Bachelor's degree, at minimum 2+ years of relevant experience
  • Palantir Foundry experience
  • Experience in Python, SQL, PySpark, and Spark-based data processing
  • Experience building or supporting data solutions using Palantir Foundry, including pipelines, transforms, datasets, and data lineage
  • Experience working with relational and analytical data stores (e.g., Databricks, Oracle, Postgres, SQL Server) and applying sound data modeling principles
  • Experience handling federal financial data, including budget, execution, and accounting data, with an understanding of data controls and reconciliation needs
  • Managers, with 5+ years of experience: Additionally, you will supervise and mentor project team members and foster collaboration, accountability, and professional development across the program
  • Managers, with 5+ years of experience: Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and influence senior stakeholders
  • Experience with Palantir, including Workshop; experience supporting or integrating with DoD Advana/Vantage is highly desirable
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)
  • Direct experience supporting DoW financial, PPBE, comptroller/CFO, or audit-related programs
  • Understanding and experience with Federal financial systems (e.g., GFEBS, Navy ERP, DAI, DEAMS) and Federal financial management and accounting concepts, data structures, and policy (e.g., Treasury Financial Manual, OMB Circular A-123, SFFAS, USSGL)
  • Ability to operate independently in a fast-paced, mission-focused environment
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills, including the ability to translate complex technical concepts for both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Familiarity with Git-based version control, CI/CD concepts, and Agile delivery methodologies in secure environments
  • Prior experience working directly within the Advana/Vantage ecosystems or adjacent DoD enterprise analytics platforms
  • Certifications (Palantir, AWS, Azure, Databricks)
  • Familiarity with data governance, metadata management, lineage, and access controls in classified or controlled unclassified environments
  • Understanding of DoW data, security, and compliance frameworks (e.g., RMF, ATO processes)
  • Previous consulting experience supporting federal or defense clients
