U.S.-Based Freelance Recruiter / Headhunter – General Manager & Sales Recruiting

U.S.-Based Freelance Recruiter / Headhunter – General Manager & Sales Recruiting

We are a long-established, family-owned foundation repair and construction company in the Seattle, Washington area. We are looking for an experienced U.S.-based freelance recruiter/headhunter to work with us on an hourly basis.

Our immediate and #1 priority is recruiting a General Manager who can eventually take over much of the day-to-day management and operations of our company.

After filling the General Manager position, we would like to continue working with the right recruiter to help us find additional key people, including:

- General Manager — immediate priority

- Sales Manager

- Outside Sales Representatives / Estimators

- Other management, office, and operations positions as needed

We are not looking for a traditional recruiting agency charging a large percentage of an employee's first-year salary. We are looking for an individual freelance recruiter/headhunter whom we can pay hourly and potentially develop a long-term relationship with.

This is not simply a job-posting position. We want someone who knows how to actively headhunt and recruit passive candidates — people who may already be successfully employed and are not actively applying for jobs.

We want someone who can identify strong candidates, reach out to them directly, qualify and screen them, and present the best candidates to us for interviews.

Experience recruiting General Managers, senior management, sales leadership, or similar positions is strongly preferred. Experience recruiting for construction, home services, contracting, or similar privately owned businesses would be a plus.

You should be comfortable using LinkedIn, Boolean searches, job boards, databases, direct outreach, and other recruiting methods to find candidates.

This is a remote recruiting position, but you must be U.S.-based and experienced recruiting within the U.S. market. Our company and the General Manager position are located in the Seattle, Washington area.

We anticipate starting at approximately 10–15 hours per week, depending on experience, results, and recruiting strategy. There is potential for ongoing recruiting work if we find the right person.

When applying, please include:

1. Your hourly rate.

2. Your experience recruiting/headhunting General Managers or senior-level candidates.

3. Examples of similar positions you have successfully filled.

4. How you find and approach passive candidates who aren't actively job hunting.

5. The recruiting tools and platforms you normally use.

6. Your availability and approximate hours per week.

7. Whether you personally perform the recruiting work or work as part of an agency/team.

We're looking for someone who can become our go-to recruiter, learn our company and what makes someone successful here, and help us build a strong management and sales team over time.
