[Remote] Director, Healthcare Consulting Services

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Merative provides intelligent, scalable medical imaging workflow solutions and healthcare expertise to help organizations improve patient outcomes and optimize care delivery. The Director, Consulting Services leads the consulting practice across implementation, solution design, configuration, testing, stabilization, customer education, adoption, quality, utilization, and consultant capability development.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the Consulting Services practice across the implementation lifecycle, spanning discovery, solution design, configuration, testing, & post-go-live stabilization
  • Set the discovery + design methodology the practice delivers against, including required artifacts, design reviews, sign-off points, & traceability from configuration decisions back to the customer's stated objectives
  • Establish and enforce configuration standards grounded in leading practice, & manage the exception path where a customer requirement genuinely warrants deviation
  • Own the clinical, operational, & administrative workflow standards that guide solution design, spanning radiology, cardiology, & specialty service lines through to imaging operations, scheduling, & reporting workflows
  • Lead customers to design decisions that advance their organizational goals, including turnaround time, throughput, site consolidation, standardization across facilities, & cost per study
  • Define the adoption measures for delivered solutions, & hold the practice accountable to them following go-live
  • Validate scope at the pre-sales handoff, & route gaps identified in discovery through change control
  • Own internal build quality, including the configuration validation & functional testing completed before a solution is presented to the customer
  • Own the customer UAT approach, including test plan design, scenario coverage across clinical + administrative workflows, defect triage, & documented customer acceptance
  • Define go-live readiness criteria & hold the sign-off decision for solution readiness
  • Define stabilization exit criteria & the handoff to Support + Customer Success
  • Own the customer education strategy, including curriculum design, role-based learning paths, & the delivery model across live, remote, & self-service channels
  • Build and maintain the training content library covering clinical, technical, & administrative audiences, & keep it current against product release
  • Measure training effectiveness against competency and adoption outcomes rather than completion counts
  • Manage practice utilization + billable capacity, & forecast consultant demand against the implementation pipeline
  • Serve as the senior solution authority with customer clinical + IT leadership on design decisions and escalated disputes
  • Partner with Service Delivery + Technology Operations on engagement staffing, sequencing, & cross-functional issue resolution
  • Build the capability + certification model defining consultant competency levels across products, service lines, & engagement complexity

Skills

  • Clinical workflow fluency across radiology, cardiology, & specialty service lines
  • Operational + administrative workflow fluency across imaging operations, scheduling, reporting, & departmental reporting structures
  • Product configuration depth, sufficient to review a design and identify what will fail under real volume
  • Consultative influence: moves customers off preference toward leading practice, & frames the trade-off in terms of the outcomes their organization is measured on
  • Judgment on the standardization line, including when an exception is warranted and when it is being rationalized
  • Quality discipline across build validation, test design, & acceptance, with a bias toward finding defects before the customer does
  • Instructional capability across clinical, technical, & administrative audiences
  • Builds practices rather than heroics; codifies what strong consultants do so the rest of the team can repeat it
  • Leads through Managers, setting standards and holding them rather than stepping in to do the work
  • Credible with executives on both sides of the house, translating between clinical intent and technical constraint
  • Eight or more years in solution consulting, implementation consulting, or application delivery within healthcare software
  • Four or more years leading a team, with at least some experience leading through other leaders
  • Demonstrated ownership of solution design + configuration decisions on complex enterprise implementations
  • Working knowledge of healthcare IT integration concepts, including HL7, FHIR, & DICOM
  • Experience defining or materially improving a delivery methodology, not only working within one
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Direct experience with PACS, VNA, enterprise viewers, modality worklist, or cardiology imaging platforms
  • Experience in a clinical setting, or a clinical credential such as RT(R) or RN
  • Experience building a certification, competency, or career progression model for a consulting team
  • Experience standing up a customer education or training function
  • Experience supporting a perpetual-to-subscription or on-premises-to-cloud transition
  • Experience with regulated software delivery, including validation & documentation obligations
