Description & Requirements

WHAT MAKES US A GREAT PLACE TO WORK:

We are proud to be consistently recognized as one of the world's best places to work. We are currently the top ranked consulting firm on Glassdoor's Best Places to Work list and have earned the #1 overall spot a record seven times.

Extraordinary teams are at the heart of our business strategy, but these don't happen by chance. They require intentional focus on bringing together a broad set of backgrounds, cultures, experiences, perspectives, and skills in a supportive and inclusive work environment. We hire people with exceptional talent and create an environment in which every individual can thrive professionally and personally.

About Future Back Ventures

Future Back Ventures (FBV) is venture fund within Bain & Company that is focused on investing in early-stage, promising startups founded or led by Bain alumni.

FBV was founded on the premise that our alumni found businesses at an exceptionally high rate, and these businesses outperform their venture cohorts in funding raised, graduation rates between rounds, and outcomes. Beyond alumni founded businesses, we believe there are additional promising collaborative deal categories that can be developed in future funds.

The significant majority of deals and capital deployed are in the seed and series-A stage.

The fund invests alongside leading venture firms and helps portfolio companies access the best of Bain through strategic advisory support, talent, community, introductions, and practical operating resources. As a small, entrepreneurial team inside Bain, FBV combines rigorous investment judgment with hands-on support for founders building the companies of the future.

Our first fund was launched in 2023, and a follow on fund was recently raised in 2026. To date, all funding has been provided through personal investment commitments by Bain partners and other senior leadership team members, and the firm itself. FBV has a near term strategy to significantly expand our committed capital and investment activities through the launch of a third follow on fund admitting external LPs. We anticipate a significant increase in AUM in the near term and over time, through addition of new LPs, increases in the number and size of funds and the potential creation of a family of funds.
