National Retail Sales & Account Manager Remote · Base + Commission

About the role
We are hiring one person to get Wakse into physical national retail. The job is in-store placement at retailers such as Walmart, Target, Costco, Kroger, Publix, and other national chains. Online-only experience does not count. Do not apply if you cannot take a brand into these retailers.

About 85% of the role is opening new physical retail accounts. About 15% is growing accounts once they are in. Success is doors opened and wholesale revenue.

Compensation
Base: $60,000–$70,000 per year
Commission: 2–4% on new account revenue and orders
Location: Remote, with travel for buyer meetings and line reviews

Responsibilities

  • Open physical retail shelf placement at national chains, including Walmart, Target, Costco, Kroger, Publix, and similar.
  • Get the brand onto the shelf, not just onto a website.
  • Build a pipeline of national and regional brick-and-mortar buyers.
  • Pitch, negotiate terms, and onboard new retail accounts.
  • Attend buyer meetings and trade shows.
  • Hit quarterly targets for new accounts and revenue.
  • Support live accounts with launches, promotions, and reorders.

Requirements

  • 4+ years selling into physical national retail, ideally beauty or CPG.
  • A record of placing brands in stores such as Walmart, Target, Costco, Kroger, Publix, or comparable chains.
  • Direct buyer relationships, or a clear path to them.
  • Able to work independently on a commission plan and travel for meetings.

Do not apply if

  • Your experience is online, marketplace, Amazon, or DTC only.
  • You have not taken a brand into national physical retail.
  • You cannot own the pitch through to a shelf placement.
