Responsibilities

  • Operate various warehouse equipment including reach trucks, forklifts, cherry pickers, pallet jacks, and cranes to load, unload, stock, and move materials safely and efficiently.
  • Manage inventory control through accurate picking, packing, shipping, receiving, and order fulfillment processes using inventory management software and warehouse management systems like AS400.
  • Conduct manual handling tasks involving heavy lifting and materials handling while adhering to safety regulations and OSHA standards.
  • Maintain proper stock levels by performing regular inventory counts and utilizing inventory management tools to ensure accuracy.
  • Follow safety protocols diligently by using personal protective equipment (PPE), inspecting heavy equipment for mechanical issues, and adhering to safety regulations at all times.
  • Assist with packaging products securely for shipment and ensure proper labeling for order accuracy.
  • Support warehouse operations by participating in stock stocking activities, order picking, load & unload tasks, and ensuring timely shipping & receiving processes.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience operating warehouse equipment such as reach trucks, forklifts (including cherry pickers), pallet jacks, cranes, or order pickers.
  • Strong understanding of warehouse distribution processes including inventory management, shipping & receiving, and order fulfillment.
  • Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS), inventory management software like AS400, and basic math skills for counting and measurements.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations including OSHA standards and proper use of PPE.
  • Mechanical knowledge or experience with heavy equipment operation is highly desirable.
  • Ability to perform manual handling tasks involving heavy lifting while maintaining safety standards.
  • Prior warehouse experience or warehouse supervisor experience is a plus but not required; eagerness to learn is essential.
