Key Responsibilities In this senior leadership position, you will be the driving force behind our Customer Tax Operations and Reporting team. Your day‑to‑day activities will include Team Leadership & Development – Lead, mentor, and inspire a high‑performing tax operations team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth. Client Engagement & Escalation Management – Serve as the primary point of contact for escalated client issues, ensuring timely resolution and maintaining the highest service standards. Process Design & Standardization – Develop and implement standardized processes, templates, and best‑practice guidelines for tax information reporting and transaction tax operations. Performance Monitoring & Reporting – Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and key risk indicators (KRIs), providing actionable insights to senior leadership and clients. Quality & Compliance Oversight – Ensure all deliverables meet regulatory requirements and internal quality benchmarks, supporting both internal and external audit activities. Financial Stewardship – Manage engagement economics, monitor billable hours, and control out‑of‑scope work to keep projects on budget. Technology & Automation Advocacy – Champion the adoption of technology solutions that enhance efficiency, accuracy, and scalability across the tax operations function. Risk & Opportunity Management – Identify potential risks and opportunities within engagements, implementing mitigation strategies and value‑adding initiatives. Travel & Client Presence – Travel up to 20% of the time to client sites or regional hubs as required to strengthen relationships and support critical engagements. Essential Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Tax, Law, or Economics. Minimum of 8 years of progressive operational delivery experience in tax services, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or managerial capacity. Professional credential such as CPA, EA, or licensed attorney. Proven ability to manage complex, multi‑stream tax reporting projects for large, multinational clients. Strong analytical mindset with a track record of translating data into actionable business insights. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of presenting to senior executives and diverse stakeholder groups. Demonstrated experience in change management, process improvement, and the implementation of operational efficiencies. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and tax accounting systems. Exceptional organizational and people‑management skills, with a focus on coaching and performance development. Preferred Qualifications Experience leading a production line or high‑volume tax operations team. Advanced knowledge of U.S. federal, state, and international tax reporting requirements.
