[Remote] Regional Strategic Site Partnership Lead (Senior Director)
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Pfizer's Research & Development organization advances innovative medicines and vaccines through clinical development and collaboration with investigator sites. The Regional Strategic Site Partnership Lead builds and nurtures strategic business-to-business relationships with research sites, engages senior leadership, and supports patient-centric, efficient, and high-quality clinical trial execution across assigned regions and therapeutic areas.
Responsibilities
- Identify clinical research sites and organizations (dependent of therapeutic area need) that consistently deliver key performance metrics for assigned therapeutic area
- Develop partnerships that focus on long-term growth by combining each organization's unique strengths and resources to accelerate development and provide greater value to customers
- Offer a customizable, mutually beneficial model by acting as the enterprise point of contact with the Strategic Site Partner
- Provide operational excellence focused on information transparency, tailored support, and senior leader access
- Partner on new innovations and capabilities
- Establish stronger quality guardrails together
- In partnership with GSSO, reduce time for startup tasks & activities
- Lead discussions and engage regularly with C-suite contacts at sites to strengthen the relationship and identify new opportunities
- Establish and maintain productive professional relationships with key decision makers both internally and externally to achieve mutual benefit
- Build an excellent reputation for service; develop efficient and effective strategies to respond to concerns that may affect the enterprise level relationship and work closely with colleagues to ensure high customer satisfaction ratings and prompt problem resolution and issue mitigation through partnership with CD&O colleagues
- Implement Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for strategic partners and site networks to assess performance and drive operational excellence; assess site performance on a yearly basis to determine go forward path
Skills
- A medical or scientific or technical degree in the healthcare field required
- Sufficient Therapeutic Area knowledge to allow for meaningful HCP discussions
- 12+ years broad based experience of drug development, clinical trial conduct, global clinical trial operations, working knowledge of GCP and a thorough understanding of Pfizer processes and standards, with a growth that has been towards senior leadership positions
- Must be fluent in English
- Demonstrated strong executive relationship building and influence and experience working with the C-suite within the healthcare industry
- Proven track record of managing business to business relationships with healthcare systems and establishing, negotiating and managing complex strategic contracts required
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills; demonstrated result orientation, tenacity, and follow- through
- Ability to systematically evaluate and prioritize multiple business opportunities within a TA and has strong business acumen
- The ability to be successful in a matrixed environment with a high degree of flexibility; collaborate well across functions of CD&O and specifically Country and Site Operations
- High degree of influencing skills
- Must have a proven track record of being effective at self-management and driving results
- Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain strong customer and business partner relationships
- Ability to deal with high levels of ambiguity and proven ability to work in a fast paced and constantly changing environment
- Data-driven leader with experience leveraging metrics, KPI's, and analytics to create accountability structures that drive success of the organization
- Candidate demonstrates a breadth of diverse leadership experiences and capabilities including: the ability to influence and collaborate with peers, develop and coach others, oversee and guide the work of other colleagues to achieve meaningful outcomes and create business impact
- Candidates must be authorized to be employed in the U.S. by any employer
- U.S. work visa sponsorship (such as TN, O-1, H-1B, etc.) is not available for this role now or in the future
- This position requires permanent work authorization in the United States
- Local language capabilities are an advantage in this role
