Remote Contract Immigration Paralegal

<p>We are looking for a fully remote Immigration Paralegal to support a busy legal team with employment-based immigration matters for a law firm in Columbus, Ohio. This Contract position focuses on preparing status-related submissions, organizing supporting records, and helping move cases forward with accuracy and care. The ideal candidate is comfortable handling detailed documentation, coordinating with clients, and maintaining steady progress across multiple active matters.</p><p><br></p><p>Responsibilities:</p><p>• Prepare and assemble immigration packets for adjustment-related matters and other employment-based filings, ensuring completeness and accuracy before submission.</p><p>• Review forms and supporting records for consistency, identify missing information, and follow up to obtain required documents in a timely manner.</p><p>• Manage a portfolio of active cases by tracking deadlines, updating matter status, and maintaining organized electronic and physical files.</p><p>• Communicate with clients to gather information, provide case updates, and respond to routine questions with professionalism and clarity.</p><p>• Support attorneys and legal staff by drafting correspondence, summarizing case details, and preparing materials needed for filings and reviews.</p><p>• Maintain thorough documentation of case activity in case management systems and ensure records remain current and audit-ready.</p><p>• Coordinate filing logistics, including compiling exhibits, formatting submission packages, and confirming delivery or receipt of applications.</p><p>• Assist with related legal support tasks that help the team meet filing deadlines and maintain efficient case workflow.</p><p><br></p><p>Requirements:</p><p>• Prior experience in a paralegal or legal support role with exposure to immigration matters, especially adjustment-related filings.</p><p>• Working knowledge of immigration forms, supporting documentation requirements, and standard filing practices.</p><p>• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment.</p><p>• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for interacting with clients, attorneys, and internal stakeholders.</p><p>• Proficiency with case management software and document tracking tools used in legal environments.</p><p>• High attention to detail and the ability to review materials carefully for accuracy and completeness.</p><p>• Experience supporting documentation-heavy legal matters and maintaining well-structured case files.</p>
