Pediatrician – Urgent Care American Hospital Dubai

This Pediatrician – Urgent Care role offers an opportunity to work with American Hospital Dubai and contribute to its day-to-day operations. You will provide high-quality, evidence-based care to pediatric patients presenting with acute and urgent medical conditions and minor injuries. Additionally, you will contribute to the development and growth of the pediatric urgent care service. Above all, you will work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe, efficient, and family-centered care .

Key Responsibilities

Clinical Duties

  • Assess, diagnose, and manage infants, children, and adolescents presenting with acute and urgent medical conditions .

  • Manage a broad range of pediatric urgent care presentations, including acute illnesses, minor injuries, respiratory conditions, infections, and other common pediatric emergencies .

  • Provide evidence-based, high-quality care in a fast-paced urgent care setting.

Collaboration and Service Development

  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe, efficient, and family-centered care .

  • Contribute to the development, implementation, and improvement of pediatric urgent care pathways and clinical protocols .

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Education: Medical degree with Consultant-level qualification in Pediatric Emergency Medicine / Emergency Medicine with appropriate pediatric emergency experience .

  • Certification: Medical Board Certification. CCT with a minimum of 3 years’ post-CCT experience, or CESR with a minimum of 5 years’ post-CESR experience .

  • Licensure: Eligible for specialist/consultant registration with the relevant UAE health authority (DHA) .

  • Skills: Strong clinical decision-making skills and the ability to independently manage a broad range of pediatric acute presentations. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong commitment to family-centered pediatric care .
