Interoperability Communications Lead - Cigna Healthcare - Remote

<div><b>Position Summary</b><br/><br/>The Communications Lead, Interoperability Value Strategy will report to the Director, Interoperability Value Strategy & Communications and will be responsible for translating complex interoperability initiatives, value analyses, and delivery milestones into clear, audience-specific communications. This role will help build consistent messaging for executive leaders, providers, clients, internal partners, and cross-functional teams, ensuring that interoperability capabilities are understood in terms of business value, provider experience, affordability, regulatory alignment, and digital transformation impact.<br/><br/><b>Key Responsibilities</b><br/><br/><b>Strategic Communications & Messaging</b><br/><ul><li>Develop clear, consistent messaging that explains interoperability capabilities, business value, and expected outcomes for multiple audiences.</li><li>Translate technical and analytical content related to EPP, FHIR APIs, ADT/Event Notifications, Prior Authorization APIs, and clinical data exchange into accessible business language.</li><li>Create communications that connect interoperability investments to affordability, provider collaboration, customer experience, operational efficiency, and regulatory priorities.</li><li>Maintain messaging consistency across executive updates, provider-facing materials, client communications, internal briefings, and strategy documents.</li></ul><br/><b>Executive & Internal Communications Support</b><br/><ul><li>Draft executive-ready presentations, talking points, leadership updates, briefing materials, and status summaries for the Director and senior stakeholders.</li><li>Support development of value realization stories that demonstrate progress, impact, and strategic relevance of interoperability initiatives.</li><li>Partner with analytics, actuarial, technology, provider strategy, and clinical operations teams to gather inputs and convert complex details into concise communications.</li><li>Prepare communication materials for governance forums, leadership reviews, prioritization discussions, and cross-functional operating meetings.</li></ul><br/><b>Provider, Client & Stakeholder Engagement</b><br/><ul><li>Partner with the Provider Outreach team to develop provider-facing communications that help provider organizations understand new tools, capabilities, workflow changes, and expected benefits.</li><li>Create client-facing messaging that explains how interoperability impacts employees, care navigation, administrative experience, and overall value.</li><li>Support stakeholder engagement plans that align communication timing, audience needs, and delivery milestones.</li><li>Collaborate with Provider Contracting, Network Strategy, Product, Government Affairs, and Enterprise Interoperability partners to tailor communications by audience.</li></ul><br/><b>Content Development & Communication Operations</b><br/><ul><li>Build and maintain reusable communication assets, including narrative templates, message maps, FAQs, one-pagers, slide content, and stakeholder-ready summaries.</li><li>Manage communication timelines, approvals, version control, and coordination across workstreams.</li><li>Ensure materials are accurate, audience appropriate, brand aligned, and consistent with enterprise priorities.</li><li>Track feedback from stakeholders and refine communications to improve clarity, adoption, and engagement.</li></ul><br/><br/><b>Required Qualifications</b><br/><ul><li>Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Business, Healthcare Administration, Journalism, Public Relations, or related field.</li><li>5+ years of experience in strategic communications, business communications, healthcare communications, change management, consulting, or related field.</li><li>Strong writing, editing, storytelling, and presentation development skills.</li><li>Ability to translate complex technical, operational, or analytical information into clear and compelling messages.</li><li>Experience developing materials for senior leaders, cross-functional teams, external stakeholders, or client-facing audiences.</li><li>Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple deliverables, deadlines, and stakeholder inputs.</li></ul><br/><br/><b>Preferred Qualifications</b><br/><ul><li>Experience in healthcare, health plan operations, provider strategy, digital health, interoperability, technology implementation, or healthcare consulting.</li><li>Familiarity with payer-provider workflows, EHR integration, FHIR APIs, prior authorization modernization, ADT/Event Notifications, or provider digital engagement.</li><li>Experience supporting executive presentations, transformation programs, product launches, or enterprise change initiatives.</li><li>Ability to develop simple, compelling visuals that support complex business or technical narratives.</li></ul><br/><br/>If you will be working at home occasionally or permanently, the internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload.</div>
