Job Summary About the Role & ProgramThe ESPN YouTube Team oversees the daily creation and curation of video content for ESPN-branded social channels.They produce videos, write headlines and evaluate stories and videos for accuracy, fairness and social / viral potential.The approximate dates of this program are January through May 2026.What You Will DoInterns will assist in tracking performance metrics and video analytics on ESPN platforms, enhancing the distribution model on all channels.You must have a commanding knowledge of Search Engine Optimization, be organized, and be able to recognize unique and compelling content that will thrive in mobile / social environments.As an intern, you will develop an awareness of the operations of multiple ESPN units in order to collaborate successfully in identifying and / or developing up-to-the-minute video content optimized for multiple platforms and user needs.Responsibilities include Participating with teams internally and externally in the creation and distribution of content that best activates new audiencesNavigating Digital Social Platforms and applying that expertise to expand reach, engagement, and distribution of contentAnalyzing usage and performance metrics that can lead to content enhancements and improvementsMaintaining proficiency and knowledge in latest trends and best practices for video distribution on YouTube channels and ESPN PlatformsProducing, creating and editing videos.This will include headline writing, tagging, managing an overall style and voice and working with subject matter experts for specific content typesRequired Qualifications & Skills1-2 years working in a media environment, creating and managing content and publishing to live streamsStrong base of current sports knowledge, including teams, players and storylines and appreciation of news and story playExcellent headline writing skills and an understanding of optimal tactics for content distributionAbility to create and tell stories in a fast-paced, highly competitive environment and juggle multiple varied tasks during a typical work dayStrong verbal and written communication skillsPreferred Qualifications & SkillsExperience working with a variety of digital content management systemsUnderstands and follows the latest social media trendsNon-linear editing skills (Quantel, Final Cut, Avid, Premiere, After Effects, WSC,Experience in editing content, specific to the needs of multiple social media platformsHas a good appreciation of pop culture, understands how sports fans are consuming content on mobile devices and assists with understanding the tastes of ESPN usersEducationJunior or Senior year preferredMajor or previous coursework in Communications, Journalism, Sports Media or related major preferredEligibility Requirements & Program InformationCandidates for this opportunity MUST meet all of the below requirements Be enrolled in an accredited college / university pursuing a degree taking at least one class at time of application OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney InternshipCurrent Disney Interns, College, International, or Culinary Program Participants You may only work for ONE consecutive year (12 months) in any combination of an internship and / or program.Be at least 18 years of agePossess unrestricted work authorizationAdditional InformationAble to have a consistent, reliable work schedule throughout the internshipThe approximate dates of this internship are January through May 2025This internship is a remote position and requires a working, reliable internet connection as well as a quiet, dedicated workspaceFully available from Monday through Friday for the duration of the internship, 40 hours each week.There may be some flexibility based on candidate's academic schedule#DisneySpringInternshipsUSThe pay rate for this remote role is 22.50 per hour.Select benefits may be provided as part of the compensation package, such as medical, financial, and / or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.To learn more about our benefits visit https / / / benefits..
