Content Writer - Advertising and Communications Entry Level

Role Overview

We're looking for a writer to develop clear, creative communications that solve clients' business and brand challenges. You'll work with designers and creative directors to craft content that supports strategy and brand expression. This is a great entry-level opportunity to grow your writing skills in a collaborative environment.

What You'll Do

• Develop concepts and content that address client business objectives• Think visually and verbally, contributing to the structure and feel of client projects from the start• Work closely with designers and creative directors to create and refine content• Participate in brainstorming sessions and collaborative writing• Help define the voice, tone and brand positioning for clients and projects• Gather background information by interviewing and working with subject-matter experts• Contribute to strategic briefs and creative presentations• Meet project deadlines• Identify and direct freelance writing resources as needed• Work independently and as part of a creative team• Support a workplace culture that values creative thinking and diverse perspectives

Skills/Background Needed

• 3 to 6 years of experience in communications, business, marketing, advertising, journalism, or related field• Experience in an agency or client services environment preferred• Strong vocabulary and expertise in English usage• Comfort with multiple writing styles and disciplines• Ability to think strategically about user priorities and business principles• Strong written and oral communication skills• Ability to produce work quickly and meet deadlines• Problem-solving and critical thinking skills• Ability to manage multiple projects and reprioritizations• Detail-oriented and organised• Self-motivated and able to work independently within a team

Education

An undergraduate degree in English, Journalism, Communications, Advertising, or related field.

Rate:Competitive entry-level pay, details shared upon application.

Contract length:Permanent, Full-time
